"Now I understand that the simple truth of Peer Resources is this: if you give a person, young or old, some reason to belong, some feeling of belonging, they’ll respond with hard work and effort, and their lives are better for it."

Youth Leaders
The Ira Sachnoff/Jerry Neale Award is presented each year to outstanding middle and high school peer helpers who have demonstrated personal growth and commitment to the Peer Resources program. This honor is awarded to students who have proven to be inspiring, talented, exemplary resources for their peers.
Youth Council
Youth Council is a leadership body comprised of young people from high school Peer Resources programs who collectively represent and communicate the needs of youth to management staff and serve as ambassadors of the Peer Resources program to the community. Youth Council members help young people build unity across schools, neighborhoods, and programs; provide a youth voice to Peer Resources management and act as leaders and role models to their peers; plan school-wide assemblies and conferences; assist in planning programs and refining curriculum; awards grants for youth school-site projects through the Youth Philanthropy Project; and offer specific strategies for adults to use to develop youth leadership and philanthropy programs.
