“More than anything else—even more than money—the time a volunteer spends with students is needed. The extra support is immeasurable.”

Volunteers in the Classroom

Utilizing volunteers

The Education Fund places volunteers exclusively in positions requested by public school teachers and staff.

Each year the Education Fund recruits, trains, places and supports thousands of community and business volunteers in a wide range of roles.

What do volunteers do?

Our job is to make the volunteer experience as effective and rewarding as possible for all people involved - student, teacher and volunteer.

We are committed to closing the achievement gap

We serve all schools while funneling a majority of our resources into schools with the most critical needs.

See our Priority Schools.

We place volunteers where you say they are needed

Teachers tell us where they need support. Volunteers help you achieve your school's goals.
