A Round Table Event with Teachers Leadership Institute Fellows and Policy Makers to Discuss the Policy Implementation of Classroom-Based Research on Student Learning
On Thursday December 1, 2005 , the San Francisco Education Fund convened a round table discussion at City Hall between teacher leaders and policy makers to discuss the research completed by Ed Fund Teachers Leadership Institute Fellows during the 2004-05 academic year, the policy implications of this research, and directions for future research and exploration. The goal of this interaction was to strengthen the links between the policies that directly impact student learning and the classroom implementation of those policies. Full event summary

A San Francisco Education Fund Leadership Institute Panel Discussion
On April 29, 2005 the San Francisco Education Fund's Teachers Leadership Institute (TLI), a professional development network designed to build teacher voice in policy formation, hosted a panel discussion between teachers, policymakers, and education researchers about the relationship between teacher working conditions and student learning.
