Plan It

group

Students acquire the skill sets needed to develop and implement desired community change. They work with their coordinator and community based organizations to learn more about their issue, focusing on root causes.

As they develop their plan, they look to take action at four levels:

Support for students who are most affected by the issue through mentoring, support groups.

Educate their peers and their school community about the issue through workshops, assemblies, and videos.

Engage other students and allies in their issue through focus groups, lunchtime or afterschool groups and other places so that more people can be involved in making the change.

Advocate for a permanent change about this issue.
